In Loving Memory of Fred Jenkins

It is with heavy hearts that we share the passing of our dear friend and longtime team member, Fred Jenkins.

Fred was more than just part of the Nelson’s Buffeteria family—he was family. For decades, his warmth, hard work, and kindness greeted generations of Tulsans who walked through our doors. His smile, his stories, and his dedication made Nelson’s feel like home.

Fred poured his heart into this place, and in doing so, he left behind more than great memories—he left a legacy of love, laughter, and community.

To all who knew Fred, we invite you to share your memories in the comments. Together, let’s celebrate the man who gave so much to all of us.

Rest easy, Fred. You will be forever missed and always remembered.

Well, while yall are listening to Adam Green’s episode, back by popular demand. I’m hanging out with his brother in smoke Levy Booska in Wellston before opening for Chad Prather this evening in OKC. (And now I’m gonna be in trouble for not brining him some of this BBQ😄). Delish as always, kudos to the postmaster!
