Housing demand has slowed, but still stable for now
As someone who closely tracks the Tulsa real estate scene, I’m seeing housing demand remain steady for now—despite some shifts in the market. Mortgage rates in 2026 have held below 7%, which has kept demand stable, though we’re noticing growth is flat or just slightly dipping. Inventory and new listings are up a bit, and we’re seeing more price cuts than in previous seasons. With rising yields and some ongoing risks, there’s a chance rates could climb, leading to modest drops in sales and mortgage applications. Navigating these changes takes a clear understanding of our local neighborhoods and a careful approach at every stage, whether you’re buying, selling, or looking to invest.
