Many thanks to Danny O’Connor and Ashley Beck for hosting AWC Tulsa at the The Outsiders House Museum!

We loved hearing Danny’s story - how he was inspired to start the museum and how the museum is now inspiring so many young people to read the classic coming-of-age story written by Oklahoma’s own S.E. Hinton.

The house where the movie was filmed makes it all come to life! We enjoyed seeing the props and costumes used in the actual film. It’s a must-see if you haven’t visited yet!

Thank you to the incredible Jennifer Loren, Senior Director of Cherokee Film, for sharing her story at the latest AWC Tulsa luncheon!

Jennifer has accomplished so much since 2014 when she first began working for the Cherokee Nation to produce and host "Osiyo, Voices of the Cherokee People".

Under her visionary guidance, the Cherokee Nation has established a groundbreaking film ecosystem, complete with the first certified Native American film commission, a cutting-edge 27,000-square-foot virtual production soundstage, and an innovative film institute that will soon celebrate its inaugural graduating class.
