I’m at KBIS kitchen and bath show, capturing content for my client and keeping up with the latest in design and tech. One of the biggest trends I’m seeing? Bold, vibrant colors taking over! 🌈

This booth nailed it. The playful wallpaper, cozy textures, and fun color combos weren’t just about showing off products. They told a story and created a feeling. That’s what great marketing does too. It’s not just about what you sell. It’s about how you make people feel.

January: Winter Retreat ❄️
February: Got ordained and married two couples, including my mom's best friends on the beach in Honduras 🏖️
March: Went on a paid work retreat in Long Beach with my husband 💆‍♀️
April: lots of working and planning for the future 💻
May: hosted 12 ladies for a bachelorette trip in Scottsdale for one of my greatest friends 💙
June: First Summer Retreat ☀️
July: we welcomed two of our best friends to the married club 👰‍♀️

September: presenting at the Content Roundtable for and officially becoming a member of the coolest networking group in town 👯‍♀️

Our Olympia community is unique—we still value the impact of tangible, in-person connections. 🔑 Make your posts align with the type of clients you want to work with by:

Using language and tone that they relate to

Highlighting the goals and results they care about

Reflecting their lifestyle, values, or interests

The more specific and intentional you are, the more your ideal clients will see themselves in your posts—and that’s what draws them in naturally. Speak to the clients you want, and they’ll come to you!

September Recap 💕

My cousin wrote and published a children's book and I attended her author reading in Castle Rock (go check out Eddy & Rosa Ride the Waves if you haven't yet) 🌊

My sweet friend Laurel and I signed a contract to work together on promoting the Grave Concerns Association, an organization working to place markers on the graves of those buried at Western State Hospital. I'm passionate about helping others and working with Laurel only enhances that 🙌

If you didn't already know, I did a presentation at the Content Roundtable where I also learned so much about email marketing that I'll be implementing with clients soon 👀📨

The Olympia Master Builders Tour of Homes featured a project by my client so I got to gather some beautiful content for a completed project, including two of their designers pictured here (my husband and his cousin Lindsey) 🏠

Last but not least, I lost a childhood friend unexpectedly last month so I went down to Arizona to celebrate his life and spend time with some friends, it was the perfect opportunity to get some healing, warmth and sunshine ☀️🕊️

It’s amazing how one connection can shape the future. Katie and I met through our mutual friend Michelle, and soon after, she came up with the idea to launch the first winter retreat. She asked me to come on board, and at the time, I had no idea how much that moment would change my life.

Working alongside her, I began to see my own potential in a new light. Katie didn’t just give me a role in the retreat, she gave me the confidence to pursue something bigger – my passion for helping small businesses grow. With her support and encouragement, I realized I could turn that passion into a business of my own, and that’s how Sound Strategy Marketing was born.

Now, I’m proud to offer the same dedication and personalized support that Katie gave me, but to small businesses ready to take their next step. I’ve been where you are – unsure, dreaming big, and wondering if it’s possible. Let me tell you: it is. With the right guidance, anything is possible.
