Faith, Attachment, and PCIT

Amanda Frederick joins Anne again on the show, but in this episode, she joins the conversation to share her passion for serving children with neurodivergent disabilities and the families who love them. She discusses how healthy attachment and intentional parenting can create lasting change, highlighting Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT), an evidence-based approach that strengthens the parent-child relationship, improves communication, and equips parents with practical tools to help their children thrive.
Together, we explore how the principles of PCIT beautifully complement biblical truths about God's design for families. Scripture reminds us that children are a gift from the Lord (Psalm 127:3), that parents are called to nurture them with wisdom and love (Ephesians 6:4), and that "love is patient, love is kind" (1 Corinthians 13:4)—qualities that are essential in building trust, security, and healthy attachment. We also reflect on God's own heart as our perfect Father, who draws near, offers grace, and never leaves His children (Psalm 103:13; Hebrews 13:5).
Whether you're parenting a neurodivergent child, serving families in ministry, or simply looking for encouragement rooted in both faith and practical wisdom, this conversation offers hope, insight, and biblical encouragement for the journey.

You can find Amanda’s first episode here where she shares her own story of infertility.

The Day they said “YES”- Betsy O’Neal’s adoption story
In this heartfelt episode, Betsy O’Neal shares her adoption story and the beautiful way God has guided her life from the very beginning. Adopted as a newborn, Betsy reflects on her parents’ journey through infertility in the 1960s and the unforgettable moment they were shown her as a newborn and asked if they were certain they wanted to adopt her. Their answer was an immediate and joyful “Yes!”
Betsy shares what it was like growing up in a family where she is deeply loved. She offers encouragement and practical advice for families walking through adoption and discusses finding peace with the limited information she has about her biological family.
Today, Betsy is thankful for her wonderful husband, her two amazing sons—one of whom looks just like her—and most of all, for Jesus, whose faithfulness has been evident throughout every chapter of her story. This episode is a touching reminder of God’s love, family, belonging, and the beauty of His plans.

Runway for Jesus
Description: Actress, supermodel, Project Runway winner, and beloved child of God, Kalyn King joins Anne and Kendra to discuss what it looks like to share the love of God wherever He places you—even on a runway. Kalyn shares inspiring and entertaining stories from her career, including experiences working with people from many different backgrounds and walks of life. Together, they explore how God used her to point others toward Him in an industry that is often misunderstood, and how faith can shine brightly in any environment.

Phil has generously supported this ministry by coming to lead worship at the very first Hannah’s Heart Conference. He helped create an atmosphere where women could encounter God’s presence and find hope in the midst of their journeys.
