Today we celebrate the birthday of "The Grievous Angel", Gram Parsons. He was ahead of his time, blending country, R&B, soul, folk, and rock into what he called "Cosmic American Music". He was a member of the International Submarine Band, The Byrds and The Flying Burrito Brothers and pal'd around with the likes of Keith Richards. He discovered Emmylou Harris. He played a huge part in creating genres we'd describe now as alt-country, Americana, country-rock influencing artists such as The Rolling Stones, Eagles, Son Volt, Wilco, Whiskeytown, Dwight Yoakam, etc. I'll be attending the Gramfest Cosmic American Music Festival on November 22, 2025 in Joshua Tree, grab a ticket and join me. "Twenty thousand roads I went down, and they all led me straight back home to you"...Happy birthday Gram.

The Brothers Comatose have a new album out which we've played on the show the last two weeks called "Golden Grass". What a great album, every song is a banger. Probably my favorite album in 2025, pick it up and see them on their western run of dates! Great live show!

The Spaceman Ace Frehley has left Earth, his mission was a success. He inspired thousands to pick up a guitar, form bands, and play rock music. I'm devastated to see him leave but realize he belongs to the stars. Glad I got to see him whenever I could and he always set that Les Paul on fire...what a loss.
