The little things make a big difference—especially during a heat wave. ☀️🏡

Most people know to turn the AC on… but these are some of the lesser-known tricks that can actually help keep your home cooler, improve efficiency, and even save a little on your energy bill.

A few of my favorites:
• Run ceiling fans counterclockwise in the summer.
• Close off unused rooms so your AC isn’t cooling empty space.
• Freeze a bottle of water and place it in front of a fan for a quick DIY cooling boost.
• Unplug electronics you’re not using—they generate more heat than you think.
• Check your attic insulation before assuming your AC is the problem.

Owning a home is about more than buying and selling—it’s about knowing how to protect your investment and stay comfortable all year long.
