🌷April 𝓢𝓮𝓷𝓲𝓸𝓻 Student of the Month is awarded to 𝙍𝙞𝙘𝙠𝙮 𝙊𝙡𝙜𝙪𝙞𝙣. Ricky is the son of Luis and Nancy Olguin. Ricky is involved in powerlifting, track and esports. Ricky’s greatest achievement this school year is breaking the school bench record in powerlifting. “Having this record fills me with immense gratitude,” states Ricky. Carson is involved in football, basketball, baseball, golf, track, FCA and student council. Carson was also nominated as All-District Quarterback and All-District for Basketball. 𝒯𝒽𝑒 𝒞𝒶𝓇𝒹𝒾𝓃𝒶𝓁𝓈 𝒹𝑜𝓂𝒾𝓃𝒶𝓉𝑒 𝓉𝒽𝑒 𝒸𝑜𝓂𝓅𝑒𝓉𝒾𝓉𝒾𝑜𝓃!

Yesterday, the boys golf team competed in the Regional Qualifier in Guymon. They came away with a first place team trophy, winning by 40 strokes. Senior, Bryson Parker, ended in first place individually and freshman, Jag Huffman, received second. They compete in Woodward on May 1st for Regionals. We wish you the best of luck boys!

Last Thursday, April 18th, the Turpin High School choir travelled to Oklahoma City to perform for their state vocal and ensemble competition at the Crossing Christian High School. They performed in one ensemble, one duet, two solos and one quartet. They scored excellent ratings all around, with the ensemble, solo, and quartet all receiving 1's!

🍀March 𝓢𝓮𝓷𝓲𝓸𝓻 Student of the Month is awarded to 𝙕𝙖𝙮𝙣𝙚𝙚 𝙄𝙥𝙨𝙤𝙣. Zaynee is the daughter of TJ and Josie Ipson. Zaynee is involved in cheer, slow-pitch softball, golf, Student Council and journalism. Zaynee serves as Cheer Captain on the cheer team, is Student Council’s Vice President and is Managing Editor for the Cardinal Review and Times. Zaynee notes, “My favorite thing about being a Cardinal is getting to go to school in a community that is nothing but kind, supportive, and involved. Getting an amazing lunch everyday is also a great part of being a Cardinal.”

🍀March 𝓗𝓲𝓰𝓱 𝓢𝓬𝓱𝓸𝓸𝓵 Student of the Month is awarded to 𝙃𝙪𝙣𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙨𝙖𝙖𝙘𝙨. Hunter is the son of Mike and Karen Isaacs. Hunter is involved in tack and baseball. Hunter states, “My favorite thing about being a Cardinal is that the community is great. You go to basketball, baseball, football or really any event that we put on you know that the Cardinal Nation is there to support you.”

𝓚𝓲𝓷𝓭𝓮𝓻𝓰𝓪𝓻𝓽𝓮𝓷 𝓠 & 𝓤 𝓦𝓮𝓭𝓭𝓲𝓷𝓰

As an annual tradition, the Turpin kindergarten class celebrated their Q & U wedding last Thursday. The kindergarten boys all dressed very handsomely and the girls looked beautiful in their dresses and veils. Several parent’s and family members attended the event that was held in the school’s auditorium. This event is to remind students that Q and U work together for most words but the U can sometimes stand alone.

Ｒｅａｄｙ Ｐｌａｙｅｒ Ｏｎｅ

Yesterday afternoon, the 𝔼𝕊𝕡𝕠𝕣𝕥𝕤 team logged into the state APEX competition to compete against the top 20 teams in Oklahoma. Turpin had two teams competing. 𝗧𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝟭 - 𝗠𝗮𝘀𝗼𝗻 𝗡𝗲𝗹𝘀𝗼𝗻, 𝗢𝗺𝗮𝗿 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗿𝗮 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗝𝗮𝗿𝗲𝘁 𝗛𝗼𝗴𝗴 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗲𝗮𝗺 𝟮 - 𝗝𝗼𝘀𝗲 𝗠𝗲𝗷𝗶𝗮, 𝗝𝘂𝗹𝗶𝗮𝗻 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗶𝗻𝗼 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗙𝗲𝗿𝗻𝗮𝗻𝗱𝗼 𝗦𝗶𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁𝗮𝗹. Playing against some of the toughest teams in the state, team 1 and team 2 ended up placing 14𝘵𝘩 and 15𝘵𝘩 out of 20 teams. Yesterday, the boys golf team competed in Woodward. Having baseball games overlap yesterday’s meet, team members 𝙅𝙖𝙜 𝙃𝙪𝙛𝙛𝙢𝙖𝙣, 𝙍𝙮𝙙𝙚𝙧 𝙄𝙧𝙚𝙡𝙖𝙣𝙙 and 𝘽𝙧𝙮𝙨𝙤𝙣 𝙋𝙖𝙧𝙠𝙚𝙧 went and represented Turpin well with Bryson placing 𝟺𝚝𝚑🏅!
