Every couple has them: those songs you REFUSE to hear on your big day. Maybe it’s overplayed line dances, maybe it’s songs that trigger bad memories, or maybe it’s just music that doesn’t fit your vibe.

We’ve seen “do not playlists” with classics like YMCA, the chicken dance, or even some top 40 hits couples just don’t vibe with. And you know what? That’s okay. This is YOUR day, and your preferences matter.

The real challenge? Guests who beg us to play those songs anyway. That’s where contracts and clarity come in. If it’s on the do not list, it’s not happening. Period.

What's your honest opinion...

Women are the first ones to hit the floor. They’ll form a line, start a circle, or scream out the lyrics to their favorite throwback. Meanwhile, a lot of men are still on the sidelines with a drink in hand, waiting for the “perfect” song to drop.

But let’s be real — back in the day, the dance floor didn’t discriminate. Men, women, young, old… EVERYBODY danced. Nobody was too cool, nobody cared who was watching. It was about joy, community, and cutting loose.

So what happened? Are people shyer now? Is it an ego thing? Or are we just overthinking fun?

Because when the fellas finally do join in, the energy shifts.
