The federal Land and Water Conservation Fund grant will be used to build a swimming pool at the 15-acre Central Park site, formerly Carbon Hill Elementary/Junior High School.

Important info if you live in Jasper or are attending the Foothills Festival this weekend!

Jasper Area Entertainment’s Foothills Festival - Jasper, Alabama is this weekend! Road closures have been approved to accommodate this event. Downtown road closures will begin at 6:00 a.m. on Friday morning on 19th Street from Alabama Avenue to 6th Avenue. This is to allow access for vendors to set up and to enable volunteers and city employees to safely set up and prepare.

Weekend Notice: Road closures on 19th Street from Alabama Avenue to 6th Avenue will continue through Sunday morning until approximately 3:00 a.m. This also includes portions of 18th Street, 1st Ave E, 1st Ave W, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, and 5th Ave. Please be aware of these road closures as you travel around downtown Jasper this weekend.

All City of Jasper offices will be open on Friday.
