🚨 Important Reminder: Protect Yourself from Unsolicited Medicare Calls 🚨

Have you received a phone call from someone you don’t know asking you to change your Medicare plan?
It’s important to be cautious and protect your personal information. I was informed of a scenario where a client took a call and changed a plan over the phone. The change cancelled some of her existing coverage. Please be careful!

What You Need to Know:

Medicare will never call you to ask for personal information or to sell you a plan unless you have given permission.
Never give out your Medicare number, Social Security number, or banking information to unknown callers.
Unsolicited calls about Medicare plans may not be from licensed or authorized representatives.

How to Stay Safe:

If you receive a call about changing your Medicare plan, do not share any personal information.
Ask for the caller’s name, company, and a call-back number. Verify their credentials before continuing the conversation.
Contact a local, licensed Medicare expert or your State Health Insurance Assistance Program (SHIP) for trustworthy, unbiased information about your options.
