Fatal Traffic Accident on Blue Lakes Blvd

Twin Falls, Idaho – A tragic single-vehicle accident occurred on Wednesday, January 15, 2025, at approximately 4:00 p.m., in the 200 block of Blue Lakes Blvd, resulting in one fatality.

The Twin Falls Police and Fire departments, along with Magic Valley Paramedics, quickly responded to the scene following reports of the incident. Upon arrival, emergency responders found a severely damaged vehicle and the driver, who was unresponsive. Despite the extensive efforts from paramedics to provide advanced medical care, the driver was pronounced dead at the scene.

The identity of the victim is being withheld pending notification of next of kin. The cause of the accident remains under investigation by the Twin Falls Police Department's traffic unit. Preliminary findings suggest that speed and road conditions may have been contributing factors, although a full investigation is ongoing to determine the exact circumstances.

The section of Blue Lakes Blvd was temporarily closed to traffic while officials conducted the investigation and cleared the scene. The roadway has since been reopened.

Twin Falls Police urge anyone who may have witnessed the crash or has any additional information to contact their traffic division at (208) 735-4357.
