Futurions, I have to admit that I'm a little disappointed. We're looking to bring a writer on board and gave what we thought were simple instructions. After learning that we only had two people who replied I went to make sure that was the case. When checking the spam folder, we found MANY others who are interested in the position. "How did they get into the spam folder" you might ask. Well many interested parties did not follow the three basic instructions.
1) send a one page or less sample
2) send to [email protected]
3) put "writing sample" in the subject line
Only two people did those three things. One of my "mentors" feels that if someone can't follow those basic instructions, what makes me think they'll follow other more complex instructions. He does have an eloquent point. That's where my disappointment lies. Therefore, on Monday December 15th, we will move forward with the respondents that were able to follow those instructions. I still want to thank everyone for your interest. And PLEASE...pray for us! SMH
