What a soggy morning for portions of lower Michigan this morning! Watch for flooding especially in low lying areas and poor drainage zones this morning. Luckily we can expect a drier picture for this afternoon. Temperatures will peak in the upper 70’s and low 80’s today.

The weather will remain fairly quiet for the remainder of this evening. However, we're tracking a good possibility for another round of thunderstorms that will have the potential to produce heavy rainfall which could lead to localized flooding as well as a few pockets of damaging wind gusts near 60 mph and large hail.

Timing looks to be between 2 AM and 10 AM tomorrow, so be sure to keep this in mind for tomorrow morning's commute. Have multiple ways of receiving weather alerts.

We’re looking fairly rain-free for the remainder of this evening, but it could get noisy with additional heavy storms after 2 AM tonight for West Michigan. ⛈️

Thunderstorms are moving over Lake Michigan right now, likely to arrive at our shoreline closer to 2 p.m.

Clustered storms today could produce strong winds - hail and localized flooding also look to be a concern. Any threat of severe weather looks to wrap up by 6 p.m.

More thunderstorms developing in northern Wisconsin overnight will pose another risk for strong to severe storms early Friday morning. It's important to note that this afternoon's storms will alter our atmosphere and change the landscape for tomorrow morning's storms to develop and strengthen. The main threat will still be damaging winds followed by hail

Stay weather aware over the next 24 hours and have a plan in case severe weather does develop, especially with storms expected to arrive overnight!
