Tech-reluctant? Me, too. 😁

You don’t need to be techy.
You don’t need prompts.
You don’t need to “know AI.”

I created these images in Canva, then uploaded them into Grok and animated them for free — without prompts or instructions. It even works with regular photos.

Our BOT&ETX Admin team: Lourdes Esparza, Tracy Beadle, Sara McCaslin and Riley Johnston all loved them!

Here’s exactly what I did:

1️⃣ Create or choose a still image
• Canva design, logo, illustration, or a photo
• Download it to your device

2️⃣ Open Grok (free works just fine!)
• Upload the image and choose IMAGINE mode
• I didn’t type a single instruction with this one

3️⃣ Let Grok animate it
• It creates an animated version automatically
• On the screen, you’ll see a few simple options:
• ⬇️ Hit the download arrow to save the animation
• 🔄 Tap the button to generate another version if you want a different motion or feel

4️⃣ Download & share
• Post it
• Smile
• Quietly celebrate because you just did something cool 😄

🪑 From the Front Porch with Christine

Hey friends 👋

Before two years ago, I had no interest or experience in social media and certainly not AI.
My background is Human Biology and Chemistry.

Not a whole lot of overlap there…

True story: it took me 36 hours to create my very first Facebook post in 2024.
Tears were shed. Anguish was felt.
The fix? I just needed to refresh the page. I didn’t even know how to do that. 🤪

And now — somehow — here I am as a Facebook administrator and helping others understand basic practical technology.

The biggest factor was human help along the way. Over the past two years, I have been working with my partner, David Domm, as we have been building our brands:

Even with his amazing mentoring, I’ve still wasted a lot of time trying to figure things out on my own. 

Most of what trips people up isn’t complicated — it’s subtle but cumulative, leaving most of us feeling overwhelmed because we missed the basics.

Lots of times, I felt like a toddler trying to take a physics class. And pass it with an A. 😩

That’s why I’m sharing from my experience.

So when you see posts labeled From the Front Porch or From the Admin Desk, that’s what this is:

Not a course.
Not a rule.
Certainly not perfection.

Just me sharing things I wish I’d known sooner — things I learned the hard way — in hopes it makes this a little easier for someone else.

When I’m reviewing posts or approving requests, one of the most time-consuming things can be to track down is a business’s city or contact info. Not because anyone’s doing anything wrong — most pages get set once and then forgotten.

Why it matters (the short version):
If someone can’t quickly tell where you are or how to reach you, they usually keep scrolling. People decide fast.

Here’s the front-porch truth:
If you’re using Facebook as a marketing tool, clarity isn’t optional anymore.

It’s not just about helping new customers contact you, which is very important.

It’s also about helping search engines recognize and trust you.

The newest search tools are quietly checking for:
who you are
where you serve
what you do
how to contact or buy from you

And they’re looking for consistency across platforms.

Here’s a simple fix for 2026:
Take a few minutes to make sure these all match:

page
About section
Contact button
Google Business profile
Website, directory listing, or anywhere else you show up online

Same city. Same spelling. Same exact info.

Search engines reward alignment 🤖
Customers appreciate not having to hunt 🔍

Small cleanup. Big visibility win that keeps giving.
Worth doing while the coffee’s still warm ☕

Today, various organizations use the facility to offer counseling, prepped meals, education & training, GED program, pregnancy and early child support, clothes closet, nail care and more.

I felt so welcomed, learned so much, had a wonderful time, and enjoyed awesome conversation over a delightful snack. These people are passionate about serving others… and it shows in everything they do! 🤩

On the school run this morning, I saw the PNK donut van and thought,
“Oh! I know them.”
Pulled over. Got a donut. 🍩

Not because I was craving one…
but because they were visible and familiar.

That’s brand awareness + visibility working together.

The BEST part?

There are more options for small businesses and entreprenuers than ever before with technological advances!

I’m going to be honest — this video took way more tries than I want to admit. 😅

Which feels ironic… because the message is about progress, not perfection.

Perfection has a sneaky way of keeping people frozen.
Progress just asks you to take the next step.
