Sec. Rollins just ordered the Forest Service to overhaul how it treats ranchers, just over a year after she dropped the charges against the Maude family.

The system that nearly jailed a South Dakota ranching family is the one she's now moving to fix.

I’m a big fan of Secretary Rollins and what she’s doing at USDA. Some self-interested people are trying to use this situation to smear her. I have watched her response to NWS closely since she was appointed last year and I can tell you they are LYING. I’m spreading the truth because she has been the best fighter for small farmers & ranchers we’ve had at USDA in memory and we cannot afford to lose her. If criticism was warranted I’d be the first to share it, but it’s not. She’s done a great job and I have full confidence she’ll continue to make the right moves to address this.

Do not let the media spread their ignorance and propaganda and hurt ranchers and the cattle industry in the process.

And no, this had nothing to do with DOGE cuts.

Casey Murph and his family have been targeted by a European energy company. They want his Arizona grazing lease for their solar project. It will destroy his fifth generation ranch. But the state might break his lease and give Orsted the land anyway.

Now here’s what I learned.

They may not have found Casey Murph by accident.

It looks like they were invited.
