⚠️ There is a Slight Risk (2/5) for severe thunderstorms today into this evening evening over much of the Mid-South. Damaging winds are the main threat with large hail as a secondary threat. Two rounds of storms are expected. The first round will occur this morning into early this afternoon. The second round will occur later this afternoon into this evening.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected to develop along and ahead of an approaching cold front Tuesday afternoon west of the Mississippi River. A few of these thunderstorms may become strong to severe with damaging winds as the primary severe weather threat. Weak shear will limit the coverage of organized severe weather. Any lingering activity will weaken Tuesday evening as instability decreases across the Mid-South.
