Gravity will send it down this shorter, steeper path in a big flood — maybe the next one. Course changes happen about every 1,000 years when the channel clogs up with silt, flow slows, and floods get higher.

(Sumner, Mississippi) Today, Attorney General Lynn Fitch announced the recent sentencing of Jakalyn Moore of Southaven, Mississippi, for one count of Sexual Battery by a Person in Position of Trust and Authority and one count of Child Exploitation.
