ARREST MADE IN FATAL REDSTONE TOWNSHIP HIT-AND-RUN
A 66-year-old man is behind bars facing major felony charges following an intensive multi-agency search into a fatal hit-and-run incident that occurred yesterday in Redstone Township.
The Charges
Authorities have officially charged Mark DiMatteo, 66, in connection with the tragic crash. The primary charges filed against him include:

Incident Details:
According to law enforcement officials, the incident occurred while 62-year-old Ronald Hostetler, of Confluence, PA, was in the process of loading equipment onto a trailer.
Investigating officers allege that DiMatteo struck Mr. Hostetler with his vehicle and immediately fled the scene. Rather than stopping to render emergency medical assistance, offer aid, or provide identification to responding authorities, DiMatteo left the area. Mr. Hostetler tragically died from injuries sustained in the collision.
Apprehension & Community Assistance:
Following the incident, multiple law enforcement agencies launched a coordinated effort to locate the driver and vehicle. Thanks to crucial leads, tips, and vehicle identification assistance provided by members of the local community, officers were able to track down and apprehend DiMatteo yesterday evening.
