***ETA I hate them. Hence why I’m asking to get rid of them. I do not like flowers or blooms in my lawn. I have a very small patch of grass that I’d like to have be just grass. These can’t be contained so relocating them isn’t an option for me as they spread like wildfire. I have blooms in other parts of my yard that feed the bees. I you don’t agree with this, I’m sorry I’ve offended you but keep scrolling.
I am hoping there’s an alternative to digging them out! But if not, I’ll just keep digging 😫😂

So not exactly "garden" question, but I've gotten good advice here, so asking. We bought a house with mostly w**ds for lawn and there is something biting our feet and ankles when we walk through it. These bites are like mosquitoes bites on steroids and are intensely itchy for a week. Everything runs down to a lake, so we have to be careful about sprays that are toxic to marine life. 2 questions-
1. Would killing off clover and replanting grass help with bug infestation? (I kind of don't care about having actual grass, since the lake is my priority. Clover is green enough for me.)
2. I've tried several "nontoxic sprays", but honestly, these bug bites are ridiculous. Any idea what they are and how to get rid of them? I've read about sand fleas and no-see-ums (which I'm still confusedas to what they are). Read about buying worms to eat their larvae, but worried I'll end up with some worm that destroys my flower beds.
Any help appreciated.

A lot of people call me a w**d but I'm a friend and come to help you!
My flowers are the first food for insects after hibernation and unlike most other plants, I have pollen AND nectar, not merely one OR the other! And I am generous with them! 🤪😉
When you see me, remember that I'm the ONLY one who wants and can grow in that particular spot. Because:
Either the soil is too compact / hard / stomped and I want to loosen it for you with my roots.
Or there is too little calcium in the soil - don't worry, I will replenish that for you with the dying of my leaves.
Or the soil is too acidic. But I will also improve that for you if you give me the chance.
Or a mixture of the above reasons, of course. 😊
I'm here because your soil needs my help so best you let me grow without disturbing me! When everything is fixed, I will disappear again, I promise!
Are you trying to remove me prematurely with my root? However meticulous you are, I will return 2x as strong! Just until your soil is improved.
You can even tell by my growth at which stage my help is at. If my leaves are flat on the ground then I'm far from ready but if they all reach up then I'm already a long way on my way.
Something completely different is that I am 1 of the first bloomers in spring so I will announce spring / summer for you.
During the day when it's hot, I open my flowers but in the evening when it cools off I close them again quickly. In fact, if it's not hot enough during the day I won't open them at all!
My flowers are even delicious for you people by the way, did you know? I used to be called ′′honey (or gold) of the poor′′ because my flowers are so sweet in e.g. jam, sauce or salad! The internet is full of recipes - check them out.
But wait until the end of May or later before you start picking and even then, don't pick everything yet! The biodiversity and bees will be very grateful!” Unknown

She's a very old lady. She's over 20 years old. I've split her 3 times and gave to friends. She's so heavy, I couldn't get her outside in Summer. Bought me a dolly to move my plants in and out. How to get rid of these w**ds in my gravel parking pad I currently have this gravel pad. Other than hand pulling these w**ds, are there any other ways I can try to get rid of them? I have fruit trees right next to this pad, maybe 6' and the yard is sloped, so I am afraid of using pesticides. I have already used a torch on them and the w**ds still came back.

My neighbor is 96 and lives on the 3rd floor, this is his garden. When we moved in, he offered a plot to me and said I was free to water and take as I wanted. Well his caretaker said coming down was hard for him, so we planted sunflowers, in hopes he could see them..... well, one finally bloomed!!!! I called him up and told him to look outside, the joy he had was explosive!! 🥰🥰

On my Grandson’s first Internship/ job interview he proudly listed Landscaping experiences on his Resume.This is where it begins.In August of last year we purchased a property in our old neighborhood.When it rains mud, and water accumulated for days making it difficult to access the outside.I commissioned my Grandchildren to help make the yard space more user friendly.
We decided to use concrete mixture in Molds to create pathways,walkways, and seating areas. The fence was also in need of care,so a Power washer was brought in for that job. The pallets used to stored the cement mixture were cut into halves, and fashioned as a tool holder on the backside of the fence, and as a fencing for beans.During the makeover I planted over 1,500 bulbs,Tubers,seeds, and plants.
Eleven months into the project my Grandson who engineered the project graduated, and joyfully walked across the newly Landscape yard.It warms my heart to see the pride in his face
With the job that he has done I think he did deserve the right to list his experiences in Landscaping. How say you my gardening friends.

I made a hilarious mistake at Lowe’s today, I found two clearance plants and asked the lady to make sure they were clearance, she said yes and we also have this sale, this cart is $10.
So I grabbed one and went to check out. I was confused why she asked me if I wanted to pull my car up to load, then she said oh no, it’s $10 for the rack! Omg! I was shocked, so I unloaded one shelf into my cart and went to leave. Nope, the WHOLE rack! Three shelves full of hanging baskets, that is what I bought. For $10. It was a struggle to fit them all in my car 😂
