Another future gone by violence.

Chicago, IL May 2, 2022--A woman found shot to death in an apartment in Edgewater was just days away from graduating from the University of Illinois at Chicago, her family said.

Chicago police said they found a woman unresponsive in a residence in an apartment building with a gunshot wound to the head.

She was pronounced at the scene.

The victim's aunt said she was a music major at UIC and was just days away from her May 9 graduation.

“Our hearts are torn to pieces,” her aunt said in a social media post.

Police have not made any arrests in her death. An investigation is ongoing.

In my chapter "Hell No" in the book "Unapologetically & Boldly Speaking " I wrote the following.

"Here I am upset with people who were taking everything from me because I allowed them!"

I neglected ME! I have put my dreams on hold for others over and over again while I helped them build theirs.

I got to a breaking point and learned to say "Hell No ". "NO" is a complete sentence and answer from "ME". I don't have to give a reason why and neither do "YOU".
Make yourself a priority!

Sunday Funday in Chandler was an absolute blast. The Vegetarian options and Pescatarian optionsc were excellent. Every bite of my food was delectable. The margaritas flights and the Mango Heat were perfect. We got to me one of the owners and I can see the staff is a reflection of her and her husband.
I can't say enough about the great customer service,vibe,and experience despite it being a newly open location that went viral on . I definitely will make this part of my Mommy Self Care Sunday staple.

Today is a remarkable day in history. Finally a
Black
Woman confirmed to the
Highest
Court in the United States.

The Senate confirmed President Joe Biden's Supreme Court nominee Ketanji Brown Jackson on Thursday in a historic vote that paves the way for her to become the first Black woman to serve on the highest court in the nation.
