Tuesday 8/4/20... Madcat's 2 Hour Music Album, featuring Bob Frank's Blues You Should Know Spotlight in a multi-part series that is covering Ohio's iconic record label, King Records. "The King Of Them All."
From 1943-1971 King Records forever changed American music. Owner Syd Nathan gave the world bluegrass, R&B, rock and roll, doo-wop, country, soul, and funk. With stars from James Brown to the Stanley Brothers and including Grandpa Jones (Who spent his teenage years in Akron, Ohio.). Cincinnati's King Records revolutionized the music industry with an innovative, integrated business model.
Pretty much it's my new show model too, featuring Bues+Americana.
