The NOAA NWS National Hurricane Center forecasts 10-15 feet of storm surge in Pinellas from Wednesday to Thursday. That's enough to carry away a car, inundate a house, and kill you. If you are under an evacuation order, get detailed information on where to go and what to do before you leave. Make sure you get to a safe place before the storm arrives Wednesday/early Thursday. https://disaster.pinellas.gov

Pinellas County Government has issued a mandatory evacuation order for residents in Zone A and all mobile homes countywide for Tropical Storm Helene. The order takes effect immediately, Wednesday, Sept. 25, 2024, and includes high-rise buildings in Evacuation Zone A, which will not be a safe place to ride out the storm.
