The Hillsborough County Sheriff's Office has arrested a wanted suspect by the Rutherford County Sheriff's Office in Tennessee for the r**e of a child.

"My heart goes out to the victim who endured years without the justice they rightfully deserved following the heinous actions of this individual," said Sheriff Chad Chronister. "I commend our detectives for their swift response to the information they received and their successful arrest of the offender. We're grateful for the invaluable partnership with the U.S. Marshals, who collaborated with our detectives to apprehend this fugitive."

‼️SUSPECT THAT FLED THE SCENE OF A FATAL CRASH WAS ARRESTED IN HARDEE COUNTY‼️

The driver who hit and killed 9-year-old Andres Martinez was located last night in Bowling Green.

Special thanks to the Hardee County Sheriff's Office and Bowling Green Police Department for their assistance.

45-year-old Gilbert Almaguer was taken into custody at his home and booked into the Hardee County Jail.

He has been charged with leaving the scene of a crash involving death, a first degree felony.

He will be transferred to the Polk County Jail at a later date.

We do not have a current mugshot for him. This is from a previous arrest.

‼️UPDATE: Deputies made entry and found the barricaded suspect inside suffering from an unknown apparent medical condition (no trauma or injury). He was transported to a local hospital.

PCSO will be serving a search warrant in the home to locate the firearm that was reported by witnesses.

FORT MEADE- The Polk County Sheriff’s Office SWAT is currently on scene of a standoff going at a residence in Fort Meade. The incident, stand-off with barricaded suspect, appears to be taking place at a home on 8th St. NE.

The PCSO did not confirm if the suspect was armed, but it is believed he is armed.

The incident appears to have started sometime after 5pm. The PCSO has a large police presence on scene.

This is an ongoing situation and we will update as information becomes available.

Former U.S. President Donald Trump’s mugshot is released by the Fulton County Sheriff's Office in Atlanta, Georgia, August 24, 2023. A Georgia grand jury brought indictments against Trump and 18 of his allies in their attempts to overturn the state's 2020 election results.

Trump faces 13 felony counts including racketeering, which is typically used to target organized crime, for pressuring state officials to reverse his election loss in Georgia to Democratic President Joe Biden. He was charged after an investigation led by Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis.

Trump, 77, has denied wrongdoing and has called this criminal case as well as three other criminal cases brought against him politically motivated. He is due to enter a plea in the Georgia case on September 5 and has pleaded not guilty in the other three other cases.
