I know a lot of y'all have been seeing that Big Tae Eats guy ranting in his car the past week about the food on the .
As someone who makes their living creating content for social media, I'm here to tell you there is only one of two reasons he's doing what he's doing:
1. He's rage baiting. Negativity is the laziest, easiest way to get clicks and views online. Everyone loves to jump on a bandwagon in the comments section. Or they'll disagree, which gets him even more comments and engagement.
2. He's actually being honest and hates everything he eats, in which case I still have no respect for him.
There's a way to create food reviews with honest feedback, both good and bad, in a constructive, respectful way. Big Tae ain't it.
I've watched firsthand the work, the sweat and tears, the long hours and sleepless nights that people pour into opening and running a small business. You couldn't pay me enough to sit in my car and scream at my audience and trash their hard work, type HORRIBLE in all caps in the captions, even if I didn't care for their food.
Everyone says social media is too negative, but I say you get whatever experience you want out of it. I'd much rather hype up the mom and pop places that I love, than tear down the ones I don't.
I hope that if you love any of these local spots he's trashing, that you'll pay them a visit soon and show them some true love.
