We wrote an article for Business Insider! Our piece is focused on the "small business" of our story — how we have grown our podcast, how we got a book deal for Shadow of the Bridge: The Delphi Murders and the Dark Side of the American Heartland, and how we are able to work together as spouses.

Please check it out and share if you enjoy it!

We're a married couple who channeled our mutual obsession with true crime into a full-time podcasting business that eventually replaced our careers.

We will be getting to give out candy to trick-or-treaters for the first time in three years (due to breaking news happening on Halloween every year). So excited! Lani is donning her Cubs costume. She's too hyped to sit still for pictures because she knows she'll be getting some treats, too.

Hope you and yours all have a great time. Stay safe!

In 2018, the Golden State Killer's arrest rocked the true crime world. Finally, that infamous serial murderer and ra**st was outed as Joseph James DeAngelo.

But the group of investigators, prosecutors, and experts in that case didn't stop there. They had more work to do.

Just recently, a number of them helped out in a notorious Texas mystery. Including a former District Attorney, who spoke to us on The Murder Sheet about her experience.

Ryan Murphy's hashtag is a big hit for Netflix. It's a graphic and violent depiction of infamous Wisconsin killer Ed Gein and his crimes.

But how much of it is true, and how much of it is simply a fictionalized love letter to the horror genre?

To find out, we interviewed one of the world's premier Gein experts, author Harold Schechter. His book Deviant: The Shocking True Story of the Original "Psycho" helped propel Gein back into the cultural conversation. He told us about what the series got wrong and what it got right about Gein: https://open.spotify.com/episode/15PTj5WymCgPaHlfRhfxEu?si=05edbdebe56647fe
