Armageddon 1962 Chevrolet C10 Can Be Blue or Purple, Gets 500 HP from Its V8
We're pretty sure that when Chevrolet gave birth to the C/K series of trucks in 1959, it had no idea how valued one member of the family would become decades later. We’re talking about the half-ton C10, one of the custom industry’s favorite canvases for insane projects.
Because of its current status, the C10 is of course a regular of our Chevrolet Month coverage – you’ve already seen many of them since the beginning of the month, and you’ll see more still by the time November ends.

One of today’s stars of the C10 parade is this one, a 1962 model coming from the very first generation. Like all the others, this one too is for sale, for the princely sum of $75,000.

Custom Chevrolet C10 Pickup Gets Corvette Clothes and Heart
Many Chevrolet C10 builds out there use Corvette hearts for power, but most of them stop at that in mimicking America’s favorite sports car. Not this one here though, because its builders took things to the next level and gifted it with a Corvette Yellow body as well.
The C10 is how the bowtie carmaker calls the half-ton offering in the C/K series that ran from about 70 years ago and well into the 2000s. For the custom industry and car collector world of today, the C10 is the most sought after in the old pickup family.

Because November is Chevrolet Month here at autoevolution, we’ve talked quite a bit about this star pickup, and we’ll continue to do so for the remainder of the month.

Today we have this to show you, a C10 from the very beginning of the family. It too has been brought into the modern world by a custom garage that carefully crafted it to be a real head turner.

Scratched-Look 1969 Chevrolet C10 Proves Body Scars Can Be Cool
In the world of car collectors, there’s no pickup truck more appreciated than the Chevrolet C10. And that’s a great reason for us to keep talking about it as part of our special coverage dedicated to the bowtie carmaker.
C10 is how people have come to know the half-ton variant of the C/K family of trucks that was sold under both the Chevrolet and GMC brands. It was quite successful in its time, but has also become a favorite canvas for the aftermarket artist of our time.

As part of our Chevrolet Month coverage, we’ve talked quite a bit about the C10s out there, and we'll probably keep doing so as we uncover more and more of them each day. Today’s special, a light-patina pickup of the same variety.

Not exactly a rat rod, and not exactly a perfect restoration either, this C10 is on the lot of cars that will go under the Mecum hammer next weekend, in Kansas City.

This Restomodded 1957 Chevrolet 3100 Pickup Was Previously Used as a Fire Truck
Produced between 1955 and 1961, the Task Force line of pickups were used for an incommensurable number of duties. This particular 3100, for example, spent 48 years as a fire truck with the Somers Point Volunteer Fire Company in New Jersey.
Listed on Bring a Trailer with three days of bidding left, the fire truck’s cab and doors were mated to an aluminum stepside-style bed to create the restomod before your eyes. Repainted yellow with a white band across the rear of the cab, the 3100 is also rocking hydraulic struts for the tonneau cover and a carpeted bed.

Fitted with five-spoke American Racing Torq Thrust wheels wrapped in Kumho rubber, the old-timer has is hiding a 1974 Camaro front end with adjustable coil springs. Over at the rear, you’ll find a 9.0-inch Ford axle with a Positraction limited-slip differential, 3.90 gearing, and air shocks. Stopping power comes courtesy of power-assisted discs and calipers up front and drums out back.

$65K for a 66-Year Old Pickup? Sure, If It’s This 1954 Chevrolet 3100
When they get their hands through whatever means on a small fortune, people tend to go out and buy themselves the newest stuff around. But if by some miracle exactly $64,900 were to fall into my lap, I’d blow them all on this 1954 Chevrolet 3100. In a heartbeat.
Throughout November and well into December, autoevolution’s special coverages brought to our attention a long list of extraordinary pickups. And we’re not talking about the new, insanely advanced ones being made today, but about those from the past, brought back to life by talented garages across America.

Chevy, with its many past car and truck models, was a favorite make featured in our stories, and it will probably be so for a while longer, because there's no shortage of custom bowties.

We haven’t seen this here truck in person (yet), so we have no idea if it looks as great in real life as it does in the attached photos. Chances are it does, and that means this is a stunning find.

1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 Was Hidden Away in a Garage for 37 Years
Described as a “race car for the road,” this 1970 Ford Mustang Boss 302 is a real barn find that received a second chance after spending no less than 37 years hidden away in a garage.
In fact, being stored for that long away from everyone’s eyes is what makes the Mustang truly special, as bringing such a car back to working condition and turning it into a daily driver is something that requires quite a lot of resources. Including time, that is, although the seller does not reveal how many years were needed to complete the restoration project.

Because yes, this Mustang Boss 302 is now up for sale on eBay, and the folks over at garage Streetside Classics explain that it has only 34,209 miles (a little over 55,000 km) on the clock. So it’s a low-mileage car, which makes it even a more compelling purchase for those who actually want to drive this Mustang on a regular basis.

The car is powered by the Boss 302 (5.0-liter) engine that features only original parts, and of course, it’s a survivor that runs perfectly.

“It fires up and runs with the strength of a meticulously restored classic,” the garage guarantees.

This 700-Horsepower 1969 Mustang Mach 1 by Ringbrothers Is All Motor
With the 2020 edition of the SEMA show having been cancelled due to the international health crisis, most tuners and custom builders that used to be SEMA regular were forced to sit out of the spotlight last year.
Notorious restomod muscle car creators Ringbrothers had a heck of a time at the 2019 edition of the tuning show, bringing not one but two mouth-watering muscle car builds from 1969.

The 890-horsepower Valkyrja is a bonkers reiteration of a 1969 Chevrolet Camaro and was all well and cool, but the 700-horsepower UNKL probably took the cake even if deep down you're more of a die-hard Chevy fan.

You see, the UNKL is a 1969 Ford Mustang Mach 1, the first one to be modified by the Ringbrothers Wisconsin shop following a plethora of other Mustang builds.

Unique, Matching-Numbers 1970 Dodge Challenger Costs More Than a Hellcat
Early 1970s Dodge Challengers are among the most desirable classic muscle cars. They're not overly expensive in regular trim, but some examples with rare option configurations and number matching drivetrains can fetch more than a modern Challenger Hellcat. This metallic green R/T model is one of them.
Although Dodge built around 2,500 Challenger R/T models for the 1970 model year, this hard-top coupe is unique when it comes to optional extras and packages. Highlights include a rare SE package with a smaller rear window, a wood-trimmed pistol-grip shifter, and bucket seats wrapped in vinyl and cloth.

It also comes with dual horns, Rallye instrument cluster and suspension, electric windshield washers, and an alligator vinyl roof. The list goes on to include features you probably didn't know Dodge offered on the Challenger in 1970, such as headlamp-on reminder, instrument panel floodlight, and variable speed windshield wipers.

1966 Shelby GT350H Rent-a-Racer Ford Mustang Is No One-Trick Pony
Imagine black-and-gold livery on a car. Formula 1 enthusiasts may immediately think about John Player Special-sponsored Lotus open-wheeled racers from the ‘70s, and others may visualize a Mustang.
Not just any ‘Stang, mind you, but the Rent-a-Racer Shelby GT350H that numbers 1,001 units. Most of them were fitted with a three-speed automatic transmission, but this particular example packs a replacement four-speed manual and a 289 HiPo V8 with a high-rise Cobra intake manifold.

Chassis number SFM6S2118 is listed with 19,048 miles (30,655 kilometers) on the clock on Bring a Trailer by a private party, but as it’s often the case with old ponies, the actual mileage is unfortunately unknown. The rental racer currently sits at $91,000 with seven days of bidding left to go.

Burgundy Metallic 1971 Ford Mustang 351 Convertible Cleans up Really Nice
Even though not as critically acclaimed as mid-to-late 60’s Mustangs, early 70’s models still offered buyers an iconic and visually aggressive exterior design, as opposed to pretty much all other Mustangs that came after that, up until the fifth-generation car made its debut in the mid 2000’s.
We already showed you a gorgeous Grabber Blue 1971 Boss 351 last month, and now it’s time for another equally good-looking one, albeit with a less sporty yet more elegant specification. This one is also a 1971 model, featuring a 351-cu in (5.75-liter) Cleveland V8 engine and a stunning Burgundy Metallic exterior.

The car is getting auctioned off through Hemmings, and the title of the ad has the word ‘restomod’ in it, which we’re not entirely sure is appropriate. This Mustang is refurbished/upgraded at best. Restomod definitely gets thrown around way more than it should.

This 650-RWHP Willys Americar Is a Supercar-Killing Hot Rod With 1941 Roots
It’s a given that hot rods aren’t everybody’s cup of tea. However, if you’re of the mindset that nothing beats an old sleeper that weighs next to nothing and packs a wallop in terms of power, then feast your eyes on this heavily customized 1941 Willys Americar Pro Street.
Back in the early 40s, Americar was what Willys-Overland decided to call its 441 and 442 models in a bid to sound patriotic. In fact, we have no doubt that pre-getting-frozen-in-ice Captain America would have driven an Americar given a choice. It just sounds so star-spangled perfect.

Fast-forward to 2021, and it’s unlikely you’d want to be seen in something called “Americar”, unless, of course, it happens to be a bona fide hot rod just as bonkers as this one, currently getting auctioned off through Hemmings.
