All things must end eventually!

As of December 1, 2022, iNDiDB Studios has sold the lease to our studio space!

We will still hold some gear for rental but we don't know where we will operate out of. While we tried for 3 years to build a collective where artists can film for free or cheap, it was obvious that the market in Chicago wasn't big enough, so we got a huge cash offer from a much much bigger studio to rent our space for a holding space or basecamp. That means December 31, 2022, we're out!

While we are keeping some film gear for rentals through ShareGrid, etc, we are ready to sell a lot of it as well. Our founders are going to be focusing on Unreal Engine in 2023 with a new studio space (not a collective for members, unfortunately) so some gear is staying.

It's cash and carry, as-is but you can come and test it for free all you want. Even better, you can make payments over the next 3-4 months and at the end you own it and can take it home with you.

If you have membership points or dollars left, you can use them up through December 31 in gear or studio rentals. Anything left will be refunded in the first quarter of 2023.

If you owe money or points, you will want to be 100% paid off by the end of the year. Anything you owe then will be owned by the new studio owners, and they will not be as nice or understanding as we were.

Thank you for your support! We will be trying our collective in Tampa and Dallas in 2023 but Chicago just didn't have the love we had hoped!

Much appreciation to the team! Scales Off Media could not have accomplished what was done on July 2nd for Beloit Cage Fights - Stateline Rumble #1. Handling all of the visual media was a great understaking at a sold out event. Again thank and looking forward to the next one. This team was because of relationships built at iNDiDB Studios. Thanks Adam Brian Dada for creating a space for creative to network.

Someone recently asked if they should join during our last 10 days of open enrollment for members, even though they don't need the studio space of gear right away.

We say: YES!

For your $5-$10 per month commitment, you can turn it around and start producing other filmmakers as guests. You'll pay $120 for 10 hours of studio time with free gear, and you can charge them $400 a day to use YOUR time and YOUR gear.

So if you're good at networking and want to turn your membership into a side hustle, you have 10 days left.

Why drive for Uber for $15 an hour profit when you can go and find photographers, music video filmmakers, etc who need the space and gear and are willing to pay a premium for it?

You have 10 days left to join iNDiDB as a member, or lose the chance forever!

May 1, we switch our space to retail-focused, but will be honoring membership commitments after. So if you want to be a part of an amazing collective of hundreds of members across Chicagoland, you have to get your commitment in on or before April 30.

If you snooze, you will loose. Our retail rates are 10x-20x more expensive, so if you're an indie and want access to a professional soundstage, professional gear, and unlimited free networking with indies and professionals alike, you MUST register by April 30 and make a commitment by April 30.

You don't have to pay for the full commitment up front (you can pay month to month) but you have to decide how long to commit for -- prices are as low as $5 per month, but once May 1st comes, you can't join, and you can't extend your commitment ever again.

Exciting news!

Since our retail customer base has grown so fast and our indie membership base has shrunk, we are closing our doors to new members as of May 1, 2022.

If you haven't joined yet, you have 11 days left to join.

If you are current a member, you have 11 days left to extend your membership commitment.

You do not have to PAY up front for future commitments (you only have to pay for the month it is) but you have to MAKE that commitment in the next 11 days.

If your membership expires April 30, 2022, you will lose all points, crowdsource shares and other benefits that come with membership!

Our studio lease is until the end of 2024, and we are hoping that our retail customers will use the space better and more consistently, but anyone who has made a membership commitment will continue to get the benefits of the co-op, plus you'll also get the benefits of a stage manager which we will be hiring in May or June.
