ROUTE 66! 🛣️🚏6️⃣6️⃣

Upcoming posts will cover our continuation of the Route 66 adventure as we make our way home on the first leg of our journey through the lower 48 states.

**States covered:** Missouri, Kansas, Oklahoma, Texas, New Mexico

✨ We began in Cuba, Missouri, a charming town filled with murals everywhere. We visited the Route 66 Visitor Center, the Wagon Motel, and snapped photos of the famous rocker chair.

✨ Our next stop included a candy store, gift shops, fudge shop, and lots of quirky motel signs and totem poles along Route 66.

HELLO FROM OUR 22nd NATIONAL PARK! 🥳

GATEWAY ARCH NATIONAL PARK

Standing in front of this incredible monument, we were reminded of the power of exploration and the stories that landmarks like the Gateway Arch hold.

🏞️✨ Watching the kids’ excitement as they jumped and posed, couldn’t help but feel grateful for moments like these — discovering new places as a family.

From the awe of seeing the arch up close to riding the tram to the top, every part of today was a reminder of how far this monument had come and how much there’s still to see.

And of course, the fun of discovering it along the way and making memories together — it’s those little adventures that stick with us. 🎟️💛

MAMMOTH CAVE NATIONAL PARK

🕳️✨ Discover the wonder beneath the surface at Mammoth Cave National Park! ✨🕳️

Did you know? Mammoth Cave is the longest cave system in the world, stretching over 400 miles of breathtaking passages, stunning formations, and mysterious chambers.

🌍🌌 Whether you’re an adventurer, a history buff, or just seeking some peace in nature, this underground marvel has something for everyone.

From candlelit tours to wild cave adventures, there’s no shortage of excitement below the surface. 🌿🚶‍♂️🌿

You need to book in advance to avail the tour, you can book it through Rec. Gov

We did the historic tour and it cost us
$24 for adult
$12 for youth
The tour took 2 hours and has so much to see and lots of stairs and climbing and crawling. But it was worth it.

This are one of the kids most favorite hiked. 😉

We had an unforgettable adventure at the Louisville Slugger Museum & Factory — a place where history, craftsmanship, and passion came together! 🏆⚾️

Standing beneath the giant bat, we were reminded that every legendary player started with a single step—just like these bats, crafted with care, precision, and dedication. It’s inspiring to see how hard work and perseverance turn raw materials into symbols of greatness.

What we learned during our visit:

CHATTANOOGA TENNESSEE

Our visit to Chattanooga, Tennessee, was a delightful adventure! We kicked off our trip at the stunning Walnut Street Bridge, where we enjoyed breathtaking views of the Tennessee River and the surrounding hills. The atmosphere was lively, and the bridge’s charm made for perfect photo ops.

Next, we explored Chalk Alley, a vibrant street filled with colorful murals and captivating street art. Each piece told a unique story, showcasing the local creativity and talents. We loved soaking up the artistic energy all around us!

We also had the chance to admire the Tennessee Aquarium from the outside. Its impressive architecture and the surrounding gardens were a sight to behold. Though we didn’t venture in this time, it’s definitely on our list for our next visit!

To sweeten our day, we stopped by Clumpies Ice Cream, a local favorite. It was 10 out of 10.

Chattanooga truly has something for everyone, and we can’t wait to visit again!

We learned all about the whiskey-making process and even saw those famous barrels up close! Jeremy had a blast discovering the history of Mr. Jack Daniel and his legendary distillery—who knew learning could be so much fun? 🤭

If you’re a fan of whiskey or simply looking for a unique experience, a visit to Jack Daniel’s Distillery is a must! It’s not just a tour; it’s an immersive experience that deepens your appreciation for this American classic.
