Last week I stepped into the role of Virtual Screening Coordinator for a special evening to showcase the new documentary West Side Story, The True Story of How Four Gay Men Created America’s Greatest Musical”. The film was writttn and directed by David LaFontaine. This new film about this iconic musical is part of a larger initiative of producing a series of documentaries about LGBTQ literature. Congrats to the whole team for making this virtual screening a huge success. And big thanks for my amazing staffing resource at for landing me this job. Here to encourage you all!
I’ve never felt more of an urgency to stand up for Harris, us white guys are needed big time. Let’s go. Small steps are big.

I had a three step plan this week.
🔵 1 - early vote - got it done, super easy at Portland City Hall. Here in Portland you can vote there 8:30-4:30 through Thursday Halloween.

🔵 2 - dropping postcards that my wife and her community have been filling out at the art studio to send to to get out the vote, every little thing helps. (See what the women and your daughters are doing and follow them.)
🔵 3 - texting and calling my family and friends to check in check in on them about their voting plan and make sure they’re not gonna sit this one out, too much at stake.

Hey I know this is not what lots of us guys do usually, I never have - but this election is different. My parents came to this country as war WWII refugees and were given safety. I’m doing this not only for our democracy to stay intact, but as a small business owner and mostly as a father to a daughter. I also know that if us guys don’t act the outcome will not be good.
