Dickson County, TN native Jackson Herrington won again yesterday at the PGA US Amateur Championship, and is now 1 of 2 golfers that remain in the tournament. He will face Mason Howell in the 36 hole championship match on Sunday.

“I think I kind of feed off of it… There’s a couple of people out here that wanted me to win, but it was kind of me against everybody else,”

Former Dickson County Cougar and current Tennessee Volunteer golfer Jackson Herrington won again yesterday. He advances to the Semi-Final round on Saturday in the PGA US Amateur Championship. He is one of 4 golfers that remain.

The town of Dickson, Tennessee, with a population of about 17K, has two players into the Round of 32 at the U.S. Amateur.

Ole Miss' Cameron Tankersley and Tennessee's Jackson Herrington, from the same hometown, both won their Round of 64 matches Wednesday.

Tank took down Nate Gahman 3 and 2 while Fridge beat Chase Nevins 1 up.

If the duo were to match up later this week, it would have to be in the semifinals

Here's Tankersley (left) and Herrington at Dickson County High School when they were teammates.

Now they're two of 32 players left in the 2025 U.S. Amateur.
