I wish you could remember your dreams… because oh boy, the amount of information your subconscious mind is holding for you is incredible.

Every night, your mind works like a secret messenger — sending you images, stories, and symbols that carry the truth you’ve buried, numbed, and maybe even forgotten. These messages don’t always come in straight lines. Sometimes they show up as strange people, odd events, or impossible places. But behind the surreal details is a deeper meaning: your mind is trying to help you heal, grow, and remember.

When we go through pain, disappointment, or shock, we often lock away certain emotions just to survive. We get good at moving on — or at least looking like we have. But your subconscious never stops holding those pieces, waiting for the right moment to bring them back into the light. And dreams are one of its favorite ways to do that.

So if you’ve been brushing off your dreams, now might be the time to start paying attention. Write them down as soon as you wake up. Notice recurring symbols or feelings. Ask yourself: What might this dream be trying to remind me of?

Why You Can’t Sleep (and How to Calm Your Mind Tonight)

Ever found yourself staring at the ceiling at 2 a.m., wondering why your brain suddenly wants to replay every moment from 2009? You’re not alone. Trouble sleeping can sneak up on us for so many reasons — sometimes it’s physical, sometimes emotional, and often… a mix of both.

1. Your Body Is Still in “Go Mode”
If you’ve had caffeine, sugar, or even just a really busy day, your nervous system might not realize it’s bedtime. Our bodies need a winding-down period, not a “crash and hope for the best” approach.

Try this: About an hour before bed, dim the lights, put your phone down, and sip a warm herbal tea like chamomile or lemon balm.

2. Your Mind Is Running the Night Shift
Worry, overthinking, and replaying conversations are classic sleep thieves. Your brain doesn’t care that it’s 1 a.m. — it thinks it’s solving problems.

Try this: Keep a little notebook by your bed. Write down anything on your mind so your brain can “let it go” until morning.

3. You’re Holding Energy That Isn’t Yours
