OSCARS 2023 - Michelle Yeoh
Recently Michelle Yeoh won Best Actress in Leading Role for her work in Everything Everywhere All At Once (2022). She is the first Asian ever to receive this award. Here we'll take a look back at her previous roles and see how became one of the most prominent Asian actresses in Film History.
Yes Madam (1985) was Yeoh's first film where she was in the top billing while working with a non-Asian Actor Cynthia Rothrock. This was also Rothrock's first debut in a Hong Kong Film. Both Yeoh and Rothrock did all their stunts.
Supercop (1992) was another film where she co-stars with Jackie Chan. The film is highly recognized for having action great sequences. There is a scene within the film where Yeoh almost died by performing a motorcycle stunt on the freeway.
Tomorrow Never Dies (1997) is the first film where Yeoh would perform a major film in western media. Her character is considered to be one of the best Bond girls in the series.
Crouching Tiger, Hidden Dragon (2000) was the first film she was involved in that won 4 Oscars. The film won:

Kung Fu Panda 2 (2011) was her first voice actor role.
Yeoh was also in the film Crazy Rich Asians (2018). The film was highly recognized as one of the Asian films that were produced by western media and were successful at the box office.
Yeoh also took part in the Marvel Cinematic Universe where was a cameo in Guardians in the Galaxy Vol.2 (2017) and starred in Shang Chi: Legend of the Ten Rings (2021)
