Sean has been through a lot since we last spoke in Feb ‘24. While the band he has fronted for nearly two decades has exploded in popularity, Sean has also dealt with personal loss and other recent struggles. In this episode, he shares some of these stories and explains why he keeps marching forward. The Four Horsemen, the ONLY note-for-note album quality tribute to Metallica, has sold out multiple venues across the country over the past year. Their dedicated fans relish the opportunity to see them perform every time they return to town.

Meeting with Sean again backstage at Vinyl Music Hall, he is unpretentious, accommodating and every bit the “regular guy” who doesn’t yet resemble the on-stage persona of vintage James Hetfield. It becomes clear early in our conversation that he truly cares about the connection with the fans and giving them the ultimate Metallica experience. In Nov ‘24, The Four Horsemen were invited to record a video session with Guitar World Magazine - becoming the first tribute band in over 40 years to be asked to participate in such a project. The Four Horsemen have taken global management Brian Wheat, bassist & co-founder of the multi-platinum selling rock band Tesla.

It’s Ep. 89 - feat. Rob McArdle!! I found an excuse to bring my older brother & Dan Time fan fav Rob back - to compare our Top 5 lists of “Best Glam Metal Albums” from 1989!

This is a treasured genre for both Rob and me. As kids, we waited for FM DJs - and MTV veejays - to play these songs & videos. We bought Metal Edge magazine and tacked posters on our walls. We eventually saw a few of these bands live.

Rob has long been an expert on all things ‘80s music - and particularly the bands of the hair/glam/sleeze variety. We talk about the bands you know, the bands you may have forgotten - and maybe a few you’ll want to discover for the first time…

Hey, some of it was forgettable, even laughable. But more than a few talented musicians & meaningful records emerged from this era. Rob and I wave that flag and go up to bat for some of these bands.

In his final season with Pace University in New York, Dan was selected as the NE10 Southwest Division Pitcher of the Year, among other honors.
