Taking you behind the scenes on our recent social media marketing shoot. What you don't see here is...

Preproduction. Before we ever press record, we plan. Not just shots. Not just deliverables.

We plan messaging. We develop content based on how the intended demographic will receive the piece of content. How it will make them feel...what they'll think.

Psychology. Impact. Results.

Sure...the shots are pretty. But it's calls, contact forms, and DM's that we're after.

Frames from a recent social media shoot.

Shot on C70 with .cine Ranger 17-50mm Super 35 and djimavic3_official.

Backstory:
Natural lighting really made this pop. For our interview, we positioned our talent under an overhang with the camera side towards a dark exterior wall. The wall acted as negative fill and the opening on camera right allowed the light to pour in to give the talent a nice edge light.

Our sunset shots came at just the right time - we had overcast skys right after our talking head interview and just before sunset we got a little break in cloud coverage. Streaks of warm golden light cast across the landscape while highlighting the trees and homes.

Pro tip for more depth and interest in your architectural videos (or photos):

Everyone does the standard photo/video from the corner of the room.

But, if you go to another room and use some foreground elements, it gives another layer of depth and dimensionality to the image.
