Summer Trend Moment: We're talking about the big dill that is the pickle movement. While pickle shots have been around for a while, the inclusion of dill and pickle in cocktails is on the rise.

The herb is being used in a variety of ways to deliver that briny, savory flavor note that some people look for in cocktails. There are dill vodka infusions and dill bitters as a finishing touch for gimlets and martinis.

We're even seeing bartenders substitute dill for mint in mojitos, infusing it into bloody mary mix and our favorite, the whiskey pickle back. Even Claussen is getting into the act, with their release of “Just the Brine” which is a liquid drink version of their pickle juice - the perfect cocktail floater.
