On Friday we released our debut compilation daylight x darknight! It’s an attempt to capture indie music’s many shades. Across the compilation, the songs move between shimmering, melodic moments and heavier, more shadowy textures. The result is a compilation that feels both cohesive and unpredictable, much like the scenes it pulls from.

British post-punks TV FACE are getting ready to release their second full-length 'Wolf Rents Bark.' Their latest single “White Noise White Lies,” which is available on limited 7” lathe cut vinyl, explores creative dissatisfaction, a consequence of finding the right balance between restraint and freedom. LA-based band Softer explores the benefits of psychedelics on “Cry, Laugh.” It’s about the introspective process during a trip and moving between emotional states including depression and joy. The song is the final single from their upcoming album fun ways to cope, which is out this month.

Indie pop duo Wotts, who is vocalist/multi-instrumentalist Jayem and bassist/guitarist Ricky 100, has dropped their EP Flank! On the last single “i’ll see you when the game resets,” Wotts leans into the influences of Blur, Pavement, and The Strokes. “This track felt like a real goodbye” says Jayem, “but one that’s layered with hope that endings aren’t necessarily the end, that somehow, somewhere, sometime, we’ll get to do it all over again.” Listen to the track below!

Kallai, the Portland alternative/shoegaze band, has unleashed their new single “The Wave.” The song was inspired by Susan Stryker’s “My Words to Victor Frankenstein Above the Village of Chamounix.” It explores the feeling of being a social outcast, vocalist Cate Hukle sings, “I am the monster, I am the rage.” Check out the video!

British band Noise Factory United fuses sounds of post-punk and new wave on their new single “Fractures.” The song is an examination of opposites, and “captures a gritty fusion of vulnerability and disco-laced defiance.” The four-piece band is currently working on their debut EP, expected to be out next year.

Sleep Tactics, the alt-rock band from Philly, has released their latest single “The Laughing Heart.” On the song the band shares, “This is a song about personal solitude. It's a reconciliation of that solitude, followed by an expression of desire for something more.
