15 years ago today, Dad was hurt in an Army training accident that has left him permanent health issues to deal with for the rest of his life. I (Beacon) make some of the impossible, possible for Dad everyday now. We are both forever thankful for finding so I could learn to be his service dog. Today, of all days, we travelled through the Seattle airport where my work was put to the test. My job was to help Dad get through the TSA line with Mom since TSA Cares failed on their end to get him his es**rt that we called and requested. I had to poke Dad to get his attention, provide pressure therapy by leaning against him in line, and help him find the correct place to go. Dad was having a hard time talking, but he used American Sign Language to communicate with me. In the middle of all those people, I only had eyes for Dad and we made it through! Not everyday is like this, but for days like this, I'm proud to be able to take care of my Dad!
