When you find out you need to record two podcasts simultaneously and dig into the gear vault to make it happen. This rig comes complete with MiniDisc backup powered with a 110v to 220v transformer!

My first and most likely ONLY sleigh bell overdub of the season. Still got a few weeks to go, I'm optimistic. You can tell by the off the charts amounts of my holiday cheer!!! 🎤 🛎 🎅

I recorded some drum overdubs over the weekend. Trying to finish up a track of mine I've been working on for probably a bit too long. Looking forward to mixing this one and getting it out the door. It's one of my more "grandiose" pieces, but really stirred up the creative juices!!!

After demoing Reference 4 for several weeks back in October, I was instantly sold. I not only immediately noticed several problem spots in my room, which it corrected, (and I was already well aware of the obnoxious 125hz problem) it also made me aware of some issues within my monitors themselves. I’ve been using these Yamaha HS80Ms for a while, and have become very familiar with them. Reference4 has made them more pleasing and neutral sounding and I’m making much wiser mix decisions. Thanks for enlightening me to such a great mixing tool.

In honor of stepping into the world of .protools "Dark Mode" (I dig it! - Professional Opinion) I also decided to get "vertical" with my screens. Very pleased with the new set up. (and the screens don't block my monitors, bonus!). Top screen could be a bit shorter (11 inches tall would be ideal) but at least 22 inches wide. Any affordable recommendations? 🖥

Welcome to December! I took some time during the long Thanksgiving weekend to finally finish building and hang these ceiling treatments and corner traps. Things in the vocal booth were sounding "Good" before, but now they're sounding "REALLY GOOD"!! I'm also really diggin' this SE5600ii condenser mic.🎙 🎧 🔥
