Our FAV Queso! Perfect for game day 🏈 The base of this recipe is that viral restaurant queso, BUT we load it up with meat to make it even better!!
Ingredients:
• 1 lb white American cheese, cubed
• ½ lb pepper jack cheese, cubed
• 1 jalapeño, diced (seeds removed)
• 2 cans evaporated milk
• 1 lb hot sausage or 1 lb ground beef + 1 taco seasoning packet
Instructions:
1. In a cast-iron skillet, brown your hot sausage (or ground beef with taco seasoning). Drain any excess grease.
2. Lower the heat and stir in evaporated milk.
3. Add diced jalapeño, then stir in white American and pepper jack cheese.
4. Cook on low heat, stirring often, until the cheese is melted and smooth!
5. Serve warm right in the cast-iron skillet. Looks good and keeps it hot!
Tip: So good on baked potatoes!! 🥔
