Cambodia has spent and sacrificed so much until we acquired full peace in 1998 through Win-Win strategy of Samdech Techo HUN Sen.

Our hard earned “peace” was shattered on July 24th morning 2025, and since then Samdech Thipadei Prime Minister HUN Manet has consistently called for peace. The call went unanswered for “5 long and devastating days” till the 28th of July, which both sides have agreed to an ‘immediate and unconditional ceasefire’, brokered by our international friends, Malaysia 🇲🇾 rotating Chair of ASEAN, the United States of America 🇺🇸 and the Republic of China 🇨🇳.

Now as the world is watching, the “cherished hard earned peace” that we lost on the 24th of July 2025, will surely return to Cambodia and Cambodians 🇰🇭 and finally our government, our troops and people will go back to the peace that we all cherish.

May the world be witnesses the road to peace for both Cambodian and Thai citizens alike.

These assaults were carried out during what Cambodian officials have described as an illegal invasion by Thai military forces onto Cambodian territory. Preah Vihear Temple holds profound historical and spiritual significance for the Cambodian people. Despite the ceasefire agreement declared at midnight on July 28, Thailand has failed to comply. Thai forces not only violated the ceasefire but also detonated weapons and detained Khmer soldiers as hostages—while the Cambodian soldiers did not return fire out of respect for the ceasefire terms.

This clearly confirms that the Thai military and leadership have deliberately and unlawfully invaded Cambodian territory.
