FIVE NIGHTS AT FREDDY'S 2 (2025)
Plot details for Five Nights at Freddy's 2 are still being kept under wraps, but there have been a few hints. The original film's ending and mid-credits scenes offer little in the way of clues about the sequel, with the latter being more of a comedic set-up than a direct sequel. Some loose ends from the first film, like Vanessa's coma, remain unresolved, leaving her storyline somewhat unfinished. Beyond these major plot points, the sequel has the potential for a variety of horror scenarios, with supernatural elements, leaving plenty of possibilities for a twisty sequel.
At CinemaCon in April 2024, Universal announced that filming would begin in July 2024, confirming previous reports about the sequel. While Blumhouse has yet to make an official statement, lead actor Josh Hutcherson confirmed the project's development in January 2024, suggesting that the project is in the early stages of story development. While the cast for the sequel has yet to be confirmed, Hutcherson is expected to reprise his role as Mike Schmidt. Although William Afton died in the first film, played by Matthew Lillard, the possibility of him returning as an animatronic mascot remains a possibility.
