We’ve written eight books together so far. Our newest series kicks off in June with the Gates of Mars, book one in the Halo Trilogy. It’s a hard-boiled detective series set in a future in which a few families control all the wealth and leave Earth — overcrowded, and crippled by poverty, disease and environmental catastrophes — for luxury domes on Mars. And yes, there are giraffes.
The four-book Cowboy and the Vampire Collection — Love, lust, action and humor as the worst of the undead collide with the best of the West.
The three-book Bonnie and Clyde series — It’s a high-octane what-if story of love and redemption, using the the forgotten lessons of the past to highlight the economic challenges of the present as the infamous outlaws battle the forces of greed.

Here’s some reviews for the Bonnie and Clyde series:
“As the rich get richer and the middle class becomes more desperate in present-day America, Resurrection Road is a timely reminder that sometimes the solution to a problem comes from the least likely source. S*x, danger and intrigue, coupled with just the right dose of cheeky humor.” East Oregonian
“Hays and McFall make their Depression-era tale timely with reflections on wealthy fat cats and a rigged economic system that still ring true. More than that, the story is an exciting ride, with tight corners, narrow escapes, and real romantic heat between Bonnie and Clyde. Outlaws become patriots in this imaginative, suspenseful what-if story.” Kirkus Reviews
Here’s some reviews of The Cowboy and the Vampire Collection:
“A different read with a bite. An enthralling plot that captured me from the start and left me disappointed when it finally ended. Tucker, an old school cowboy falls in love with big city gal, reporter Lizzie Vaughan. The thing is...Lizzie turns out to be the Queen of the Vampires. This take on this rather cliched sub-genre manages to be different even when adhering to some of the classic vampire standbys. A lot of it is very funny. Some of it ticked me off. Parts of the plot put lives in danger that I felt had no business being threatened. But I darn near laughed my pants off and even managed to be both horrified and disgusted. If you are a vamp fiction fan, then you have to read this one.” -- Midwest Book Review
“Introducing racial issues isn’t the only adjustment the authors have made to the vampire mythos, but it’s more than just the details that set this series apart. Rather, it’s the way the authors utilize those details to create meaningful conflicts and world-altering choices for the characters. While a number of existentialist underpinnings give the series some depth, the book is first and foremost a thriller, upping the ante in every chapter as bullets fly and relationships strain under the weight of old loyalties and new revelations. In a way, it’s a shame more time isn’t spent exploring the existence of this meta world where consciousnesses wait out the daylight hours and immortality has all sorts of ramifications for human spirituality. But with strong writing, funny characters (no irony is lost on one vampiress who takes to sporting a “Future Farmers of America” jacket) and plenty of action, it’s hard to fault the authors for keeping the focus on a story this riveting.” -- Kirkus Reviews
“Gaining information from a trip to the Meta, where vampire consciousness exists during the daylight hours, Tucker travels from New York to Astoria to rescue Lizzie, whose blood is key to a disturbed scientist's search for immortality. When the dust settles, Lizzie is faced with a difficult choice about her future, one that will shake her relationship with Tucker to the core. This series folds the western, vampire and romance genres into something aficionados of all three can appreciate, with a delicious wit that keeps readers coming back for more.” -- East Oregonian
“The Last Sunset grabs readers from the first page and never lets go. The story is captivating, the characters are vibrant, the world lived-in, and the mythology uniquely engaging. In a refreshing twist on the standard vampire lore, vampires experience death every dawn and are separated from their bodies until nightfall brings their spiritual form back to the corporeal. The fun story, the amazing characterization, strong world building, and polished writing keep adding layer upon layer of polish on an already shining paranormal western gem. The Last Sunset is a stellar conclusion to a fantastic series.” -- John Murray, IndieReader
