Making serious progress on a central area of the layout. These are stills where 10 tracks link the North to South sides of the layout. There are 4 mainlines two incline links and one extended siding.

New Train station done with lighting. Mainlines Level 1, 3, 4 fully operational. Level 2 mainline halfway operational. Installed 4 turnouts and 8 dwarf signals, still doing wiring hookups on 2 turnouts and still need to wire up all 8 dwarf signal lights.
Six more turnouts and a ton of landscaping to go.

Spent the last few days in studio. Been in lots of studios as a producer and conductor, but a long time since as a player. It’s a legacy project, recording to tracks on trumpet and Fluegelhorn. One more session to go, then the mix. The two mics were an old RCA ribbon mic and a much newer condenser mic, recorded on separate tracks. We’ll sort out best sounds in the mix. It’s a small studio, and after a few tests we found the best sound was actually with the horn about 45 degree angle to the mics. When Karen heard Danny Boy and as Time Goes By she had some tears. It is a fun “legacy project” inspired by daughter Michelle. Thanks to Karen for the pictures. 🎼🎶🎺

Starting my new model RR. Platforms started, plans complete. It’s HO… the first engine beside caboose from my last G scale layout shows the huge difference is size.
