“Manufacturing the Threat” revisits the 2013 Canada Day bomb plot in which RCMP undercover officers spent eight months guiding Surrey couple John Nuttall and Amanda Korody, toward planting pressure-cooker devices at the B.C. legislature; the film details how police supplied the blueprint, funding, transportation, and inert explosives, prompting a 2016 court decision that stayed their convictions and condemned the case as a police-manufactured crime, the first such ruling in Canadian terrorism law.

Emily Carr’s “Church in Yuquot Village” was retitled from “Indian Church” in 2018 after consultations with the Mowachaht/Muchalaht First Nation whose territory includes Yuquot.

The title was changed to remove the outdated and offensive term “Indian,” reflecting a more respectful acknowledgment of the community depicted.
