Tornado Warning

At 6:43 AM, a confirmed tornado was located near Kokomo, or near Columbia, moving northeast at 35 mph. Flying debris will be dangerous to those caught without shelter. Mobile homes will be damaged or destroyed. Damage to roofs, windows, and vehicles will occur. Tree damage is likely.

Merry on the Midway will host Community Hero Discount Night on Friday, December 19th. Community Hero Discount Night recognizes individuals across public safety, healthcare,
education, and military service, inviting them and their households to enjoy an evening of holiday festivities at a reduced admission rate of $5.00 per person.
Eligible Participants Include: Firefighters, EMS and First Responders,
Law Enforcement Officers, Emergency Dispatchers, Healthcare Professionals, including Nurses, Physicians, EMTs, Hospital Staff, and Healthcare Workers, Teachers and Active-Duty Military and Veterans.
Eligible community heroes and members of their household may receive $5 admission per person, available onsite only, exclusively on Friday, December 19, 2025. To receive the discounted rate, guests must present a valid badge or professional credentials at
the entrance gate.
The discounted admission is valid only for eligible community heroes and members of their household. Standard admission rates of $10 per adult and $5 per child will apply to all other
guests.

Dangerous arctic cold 🥶🧥 is expected, beginning this evening through Monday morning. Wind chills will be as low as 10 to 15 degrees, with air temperatures as low as 15 to 20 degrees. Precautions need to be taken to protect people, pets, pipes, and plants from the cold. Ensure you have a warm place to stay in this dangerous arctic cold as frostbite and hypothermia is possible. Make sure to wrap pipes and drip faucets to prevent freezing and possible bursting of pipes. Cold Weather Advisory is in effect for the entire region from 6PM today through 9AM Monday.

Due to construction in downtown Laurel, the Sertoma Christmas Parade Route has changed. The parade begins at 10 am this morning, Dec. 6th.

A) The parade line up will be on Mason St. going from McDonalds to Daphne Park. The entering point will be at Leontyne Blvd. and Mason St. going north.

😎 The starting point of the parade will be at the corner of Mason St. and Sawmill Rd. going east on Sawmill Rd.

C) The parade will proceed east on Sawmill Rd. with turn #1 at the round-a-bout going downhill onto West 5Th St. Following West 5th St. east pass the United States Post Office turning right at turn #2 staying on West 5th to Spec Wilson Blvd. Then turn #3 to the right onto Spec Wilson Blvd. going south. Proceeding south to turn #4 turning right onto Carroll Gartin Blvd. Going east shifting lanes at turn #5 turning left onto Leotyne Price Blvd. at turn #6. The parade will proceed south on Leontyne Price Blvd. to a right turn #7 at McDonalds and Mason St.
