At approximately 5:10am Jasper Counry Sheriff’s Department received a call about a stolen Blue Ram 2500 bearing Mississippi plate 1EZ736. It is believed that escaped inmate Devin Johnson may be the person who stole the vehicle.

He is a young white male wearing a long sleeved white shirt and yellow pants. He fled on foot from Jasper County Jail this afternoon around 3:15pm. He is not considered armed or dangerous. GAME DAY TRAVEL ALERT

The ramp from Highway 49 North onto I-59 North has been closed by MDOT. Officials say this will last through the afternoon of September 10th, as workers will be resurfacing the ramp. Drivers are urged to use alternate routes and stay alert for crews in the area.
