Backyard-TV is one of the longest running Caribbean TV shows in New York, providing New Yorkers with their weekly Caribbean entertainment, by way of hot parties, music videos, interviews, animations and more. Backyard-TV came from a Caribbean perspective, covering entertainment, social issues, and lifestyles, etc. Our overall aim is to be the marketing tools for companies who are seeking exposure
to the MILLIONS of savvy, financially empowered Caribbean American and Reggae fans throughout the world. Backyard TV began as an idea and a half-hour program, started fifteen years ago by Howell Allen aka ‘Mr Owner. Howell dream is to create a Television service targeting the rapidly growing Caribbean population. Since then Backyard TV has been constantly providing New Yorkers with their weekly Caribbean entertainment. We also have a wide variety of content providers on board with us, eager to supply even a wider variety of contents. We have accomplished this by humorously exaggerating situations and actions. The results are shows that are entertaining, and at times, a little crazy. Producer Howell Allen is a comedian and it always comes out in his shows. The episodes usually have funny situations and conclusions that would give the viewer a good laugh. BACKYARD TV endorses youth achievement through our support of young Talents. Being successful in the technical field, Howell has gained credits ranging from Web/Graphic Designing, Music Production, & Video/TV Production. His television production experiences began when Board of Education of New York employed Howell on a team to produce two live educational programs namely “Math and Science Connections” aired on CESPN-2 and NYC TV. Howell also earned a reputation for his unique and skillful combination of audio and visuals to create Backyard TV. Backyard-TV is produced each week with Howell’s special flavor, which usually gives it the balance that makes Backyard-TV enjoyable by people of all ages. Team
