Hogg, #BlackLivesMatter cofounder Alicia Garza and other social justice leaders are focusing on racial health equity.

Here at Pulse, where Parkland parents have come to pay their respects to the 49 victims who died in the 2016 mass shooting at the gay nightclub. Two weeks ago, a shooter killed 17 students and teachers at Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland. Many parents and students who survived the massacre have since been up in Tallahassee to urge state lawmakers to pass gun restrictions.
An officer-involved shooting reportedly occurred at the downtown Wahlburgers location on Church/S Orange. It’s not confirmed whether there were any injuries or not, but authorities aren’t allowing customers at the restaurant to leave yet. Will update.
Here in Tallahassee, where hundreds are gathered to protest for gun reform from the Florida Legislature at the Capitol building. Activists include students from Marjory Stoneman Douglas High School in Parkland, where a 19-year-old gunman killed 17 students and teachers last week. Pulse survivors have also traveled here from Orlando, where a shooter killed 49 people at the gay nightclub in 2016.
