The re-edited, refreshed and republished edition of my very first poetry collection is here! This book, is a combination of my first two collections of poems. Those books, ‘Sweet Oleander’ and ‘I Had a Dream About You’ were written and released in 2020. So many of my earlier poems were more of an experiment, than a representation of who I am—or was. Some of them were written as a personal challenge, while I figured out my voice as a poet. Even today, five years later, I’m still discovering my inner voice. A few of the poems featured in this updated collection, such as ‘Passing,’ ‘Their Eyes,’ ‘Hope Can Eat Later,’ ‘Anatomy of a Poem,’ ‘Coldest Winter Ever’ and ‘Cosmic Lust’ are new poems written within the last two years, that I included as a treat and to show my progression as a written and spoken word poet. Some of my older poems have also been re-edited and extended.

Our Story

Born and raised in the Washington D.C. area, writing has been a passion of mine since I was young. I started writing my first book, 'My Colorblind Rainbow' in 2013. In 2017, I decided to continue writing, taking a leap of faith and following my dreams of publishing my first book which made the 'In The Margins Award Long List' for YA fiction 2018. I launched Hardy Publications in September of 2017, working as a freelance ghostwriter, author, and literary blogger. I also use my platform to raise awareness for different charities and non-profit organizations, donating a portion of my book royalties to help others in need.
