That’s what the , one of the 10 teams on the Professional Bull Riding (PBR) circuit, is hoping to find out on June 27 at the Wilco Events Center in Taylor.

“The Next Gambler” will set out to find the next emerging bull rider on the circuit through a make-or-break and competition. The OptiWize Bull Riding 🐂 Challenge will be a companion event aiming to spotlight female talent in the sport.

The event, run by and now in its 12th year, will start at 6:30 p.m. on the lawn by the south steps.

What a moment for Westlake graduate at the Championships on Friday.

The true freshman sprinter anchored the men to a national title and new school record of 37.98, helping the Vols to a third-place team finish and their first 4x100 win since 1983.

Branndon Bargo’s journey to the top of the U.S.’s 50 highest points 🏔️ in each state began yesterday, on his trip to Alaska’s Denali’s Mount McKinley — the highest continuous peak in North America.

He’s aiming to break a world record and do it all in 17 days, per The Texas Standard.

Texas’ highest point is Guadalupe Peak, which is about two hours east of El Paso. It stands at 8,751 feet. Texas is the eighth stop on Bargo’s journey.

If you’re wondering: 𝗛𝗢𝗪 𝗘𝗫𝗔𝗖𝗧𝗟𝗬?

Bargo’s efforts can include driving to the top (or nearest to it before a short hike up).

Florida’s tallest peak, standing at 345 feet, is Britton Hill, almost on the Florida-Alabama border.

Bargo is an experienced adventurer and hosts the PBS show, “The Highpointers.” He’s also the assistant director of outdoor adventure at Southwestern University in Georgetown.
